About Chris Shellabear
Shellabears Principal and descendant of a long line of Sales Agents, Chris is no stranger to the world of Real Estate! Active and excelling in his field for decades, Chris lives and breathes Real Estate and is consistently recognized as one of the highest achievers in the Industry.
After achieving a Major in Town Planning at UWA, Chris joined the family firm, Shellabear & Son at the age of 21 and quickly showed his aptitude for selling, achieving fantastic results from the outset of his career. In 1994 he assumed the role of Principal and Licensee, taking over from his father Ian Shellabear. The ‘& Son’ was dropped and Chris established the Shellabears we know today. A firm steeped in history and founded by his grandfather in 1925, Shellabears are proud to have been Your Best Property Decision since then.
Diligent, determined and with supreme negotiation skills, Chris is renowned as being one of the most productive Real Estate Agents in Western Australia. In addition to his On-Market listings, Chris regularly transacts some of the most exclusive, local property, quietly and discreetly for his clients, Off-Market.
The recipient of REIWA’s top accolade, Highest Salesperson in WA by Value Sold, two years in a row, as well as No. 1 in the State for all Sales, Chris is a consistent Grand Master Salesperson and has transacted nearly $300 million of Real Estate in the last five years alone. Success is synonymous with the blue and yellow triangle! Awards continue every year, resulting from a history of knowledge and dedication to achieve results. The greatest testament to Chris’ success is the continual positive feedback, repeat clients and referrals he receives.
Your local agent, Chris has spent his life in the Western Suburbs, and along with his three daughters, is heavily involved in the North Cottesloe Surf Lifesaving Club and the wider community. A past President of his surf club, he loves nothing more than starting his day with a paddle on his surf ski or a reef swim at North Cottesloe beach, before enjoying a coffee with friends and locals, who gather for caffeine, community and chats each morning.
Active and athletic, Chris is a keen swimmer and has completed the Rottnest Channel Swim Solo Crossing on multiple occasions. When he is not at the beach, he jumps in the pool at 5.30am three times a week for a workout with his squad. His competitive spirit is unleashed each year when he competes in the Surf Lifesaving Masters State Championships, coming home with the medals to prove it!
