John Chapman
About John Chapman
John began work in the Real Estate industry earlier this decade and has worked with many of the “named” Agencies. They include Ray White, McGrath, Richardson and Wrench, and Century 21. The latter years were spent working with Wentworth Falls Realty, which incorporated Leura Village Realty, Katoomba Village Realty and Blackheath Village Realty.
Considerable sales have been recorded by John in all those Towns over that time.
John commenced bis own Agency in 2017.
John is not only a Licensed Real Estate Agent but also a practicing Solicitor.
John’s legal career began when he was first admitted to the NSW Bar as a young Barrister in 1974, and then to the HCA in 1975.
Then in the early 1980’s John began a four-wheel drive equipment business specialising in shock absorption and suspension.
That business, rejoicing in the name “Old Man Emu”, had a motor sport section which formed associations with some well-known drivers of the time, including internationals Andrew Cowen (Scotland), Rob Hall (America), and our own favourite Colin Bond.
Short films and documentaries were made.
When “Old Man Emu” was acquired by ARB in 1990, John returned to the law as a Barrister.
John established a major garden in North Katoomba over this time, and that garden’s attraction to him, and subsequent demands on his time, caused him to change roles from Barrister to local Solicitor.
John commenced a Solicitor’s practice at Blackheath where he was the local Solicitor for many years. He formed an association with local Real Estate Agents, doing considerable conveyancing work.
When Benetatos White acquired that legal business, John began practicing in Katoomba, later moving to Wentworth Falls whilst retaining an office facility in Katoomba.
