About Jon Kingston
Jon has been directly involved within the real estate since buying HUB Real Estate in 2013. As a Licensed Principal, he has ultimately been responsible for all aspects of property management, sales and rentals in all areas of residential, commercial and rural industries. Responsible for relevant stakeholders within dynamic economic circumstances, it has been a testing and enduring period to be accountable for employees, landlords, tenants and directors. In more recent times, it is becoming a more pleasurable experience to be able to deliver services more in line with mainstream business cashflow.
Jon was born in Chinchilla and has been involved within the farming sector for most of his life. Growing up on a mixed grain, cattle and sheep operation between Meandarra and Condamine and later closer to Dalby, John has an intimate association with farming and the rural industry for most of his life. Leaving school and joining Westpac (and later Suncorp) Jon was promoted through the ranks of banking learning all skills from ledgers to teller eventually specialising in agribusiness banking as a Portfolio Banker responsible for over $100 million in lending connections.
Jon has also been personally involved in property development having undertaken several his own unit developments and subdivisions within Toowoomba, Dalby, Chinchilla and Miles. He has been very successful dealing with all parties associated with engineering, civil construction, Council approval and inspections, financing and sales. He has owned his owned civil construction business that built and developed these projects as a means of value adding to his development project operations. 'Kingston Park', a 55-lot subdivision in Dalby was recognised as an award-winning project at the prestigious UDIA awards in Brisbane.
Jon has undertaken various personal studies. He has completed his own Bachelor Degree course in Commerce at USQ double majoring in Accounting and Banking & Finance. He has undertaken various banking studies as well as real estate certification required for statutory regulations. He has been involved on consultancy committees for Grains Research and Development Committees (GRDC) and Ag Force during his period within the Banking industry as well.
Jon is currently married to his wife Amanda, with whom they have four children - Hayden 16, Riley 14, Sienna 7 and Brodie 4. This keeps him busy and focused as he attempts to manage his work life balance.
All of these periods of vocation, has shaped Jon to be able to focus on his passion in real estate and property in general. His finance background not only assist buyers and sellers to undertake commercial transactions but his agri and personal buying and selling experiences assist stakeholders to feel comfortable throughout the process whatever their requirements may be. Jon has a strong customer service focus and requires this from his team. He enjoys assisting people throughout these major transactions in life regardless of whether it is a once in a lifetime transaction or commonplace
