About Ray Cullen
Ray was born and grew up on the land in Ireland and began his career in Ireland in various agricultural roles including agronomy, brucellosis and TB eradication in livestock, AI and management of a produce store.
In 1972 he moved to Australia and joined Smiths Snack Food Company where he worked for 28 years as Victorian field officer in potato supply and eventually becoming Manager, National Potato Supply. Ray decided after a few years while still working for Smiths, he would try his hand at growing and purchased a farm at Cora Lynn where the family still lives and grew potatoes, maize and asparagus and now runs livestock.
Ray decided to venture into Real Estate after carrying out a 20 lot residential subdivision. Initially Ray was with a small estate agency in Kooweerup before joining Ruralco to establish a new branch in Pakenham at the end of 2013. The Pakenham branch has evolved and has established a major foothold in the rural property market with significant results over a diverse area from Gippsland through the Yarra Valley and the Murray region in the north west into southern NSW.
Ray has won the coveted Ruralco “Gold Award” in sales in 2015, 2016, 2017, and again with another win last year.
Ray is a fully licensed real estate agent and is branch manager.
Ray’s agricultural experience, agronomic background and association with the farming communities has allowed him to achieve significant listings predominantly in rural and lifestyle properties.
Outside of work Ray has for many years been involved with and has life membership in various organisations and enjoys the horse racing scene.
