About Rodney McDonald
Rod has been with Elders since February 2010. In August 2011 he stepped up from a Sales Person to Director and Owner in the business. As a Director Rod focuses on sales of residential properties and small acreages.
Rod grew up in Bega and his family has strong ties to the area. When Rodney finished school at Bega High he moved to Canberra to study and work, before moving to Sydney for three years. He moved back to Bega in 2006 with his wife Alison and they now have two boys attending Bega Valley Public School.
Rod has sold everything from small town blocks to spectacular hobby farms with ocean views. He regularly finds himself on the list of top 100 salespeople nationally in the Elders network each month.
Rod prides himself on his honesty, both with vendors and potential purchasers and he gets great satisfaction when a former purchaser calls him to re-sell their property.
He has won a number of awards with Elders including:

Rod has brought a focus to digital media into the office, striving to bring up the standards of Real Estate marketing in the Valley. He enjoys writing descriptive ads that match well with high quality photography.
Rod is a very active member of the Bega Community and volunteers as the, Vice President of the Bega Littleton Sister City Exchange and President of the Bega Angledale Cricket Club and junior Auskick coach of Bega Valley Bombers AFL Club. In 2022 Rod joined the board of the Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care Ltd. Rod also served as President of the Bega Valley Public School P&C for 8 years until 2023.
