About Scott Allison
In my early years, my competitive nature suited my pursuits to challenge myself and push my personal limits. I set my sights on climbing the highest mountains in North America, South America, and Europe. My ambition took me to the peaks of Denali, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, and Mt Cook, amongst others. My youthful exuberance taught me that I had the means to set my target, see it through, and get the results I was after, especially under pressure. For years I chased these goals, and with maturity, began to find clarity how this strength could be used professionally as well as personally.
After travelling extensively and meeting my wife overseas, I gained a greater understanding of how one of the things that connects us all is our sense of home. In every country and every culture there is a connection to a place, often found within 4 walls of a family residence. Those who don’t have it, often crave it. Those who have to let it go, feel it deeply.
So I set out to connect with my own community through helping people buy and sell their homes. Real estate gave me that sense of achievement that felt like a more mature version of my competitive streak. I have used my strengths to advocate on behalf of my vendors, including using my persistent nature to remain unwavering even when patience is required. Over 18 years of real estate experience has taught me how to be empathetic to the ups and downs of buyers and sellers, thrive under pressure at an auction, and most importantly, be of service to my community.
Again blending personal and professional, I have been an active member of the Olinda CFA for over a decade, a Rotary Business Member, and proud sponsor of the local Chestnut Festival and Olinda Junior Football Club. I know locals get a kick out of dunking me in the tank at the Halloween On The Green celebrations, which I can’t help but enjoy every year.
Being a business owner in the Dandenong Ranges has given me a purpose and a channel for my naturally persistent nature. I hope to continue to use this innate trait to help more members of my community achieve their best real estate results for years to come.
