Fly Lie is actually named after a horse that the vendors have shares in. Hence the pictures of it on the walls of the venue. Just in case you were wondering about the name! The venue is located on Kew High Street amongst the commercial strip just up from Kew Junction.
There is footpath trading with enclosed tables and chairs at the front of the venue. Inside, the bar is across the back wall with booth seating down one side and bar stools and high tables down the other. An alley way to the side of the bar leads to the rear of the venue past a kitchen space with the range hoods and some infrastructure in place and so not used at the moment. Then on to the toilets and some smaller booths along one wall. This in turn leads out to a small enclosed courtyard. Steps lead up to the first floor. Heading left is a function space or bar extension with a pool table. Right at the top of the stairs is a two bedroom apartment. The latter can be sublet as it has independent access.
Fly Lie has a General Liquor Licence until 1am on site and 11pm offsite with a capacity of 85. There are seven years left on the lease made up 2+5 with further terms available. Rent comes in at $2125 per week including GST. This is for both levels of the venue and includes the bar and apartment.
