North East Insulation supplies and installs insulation throughout the High Country in Northeast Victoria and the Murray/Hume region in NSW.
The business was established more than 35 years ago and acquired by the current owners in 2009. North East Insulation is owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team, both of whom work part time in the business; around 50 hours per week combined. The business employs two full time Installers and a part time Bookkeeper.
North East Insulation operates from a large commercial warehouse with office ideally located in the heart of Wangaratta's industrial hub in Browning Street. The industrial estate is situated just off the main road into Wangaratta's central business district.
North East Insulation has a Sub-Contractor Installer Agreement with CSR Building Products Limited. CSR is a leading building products company in Australia and New Zealand and is the company behind some of Australia's most trusted and well-known building products brands including Bradford Insulation.
The business continues to grow each year, with no direct competition in the area that both install and supply directly to builders and the general public.
There is huge potential for further growth as insulation is now at the forefront under new energy requirements. The Victorian government is implementing minimum rental standards for energy efficiency which includes requirements for ceiling insulation.
North East Insulation has recently reduced their marketing as the business was unable to keep up with the amount of work. There is opportunity here to further grow the business by employing additional staff and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy including the use of social media across all platforms.
North East Insulation is a founding member of the newly formed AIIA (Australian Insulation Installers Association) conveying the business commitment to professionalism and the installation industry.
