
Sydney's MET Centre to get three new food outlets
Landlords Mirvac and PAG have secured three new food and beverage tenancies across at The MET Centre on the corner of George and Margaret streets in Sydney’s CBD.
Delisse French Market Cafe has leased 36 square metres, paying a gross annual rent of $4878 a square metre for seven years.
Vietnamese eatery Roll’d has locked in an eight-year lease for a 77-square-metre, quick-service restaurant at a gross annual rent of $2340 a square metre. The premises is at the mezzanine level, which is the main food court.
Thai cuisine online provider Mama J has signed a seven-year lease for a 77-square-metre spot at a gross annual rent of $2207 a square metre, also on the mezzanine level.
Colliers International’s Cameron Wakeham was responsible for all three deals.
IVF continues
Fertility and IVF specialists Genea has renewed its lease at a 505-square-metre office in Deakin, ACT.
The company signed a five-year lease with options for 18-19/2 King Street, paying a net annual rent of $193,692.
The building that the office is in has been extensively fitted out with medical equipment.
Burgess Rawson’s Guy Randell and Mitchell Frail acted on the transaction.
Tuition is good business
VCE tutoring specialist Instudent Media will move into a newly leased 404 square metres of creatively refurbished office space on level six, 171 La Trobe Street, Melbourne.
The five-year lease was agreed at a gross annual rent of $190,000 with a private landlord.
Level six in the 10-storey tower has recently undergone a “creative” refurbishment, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, LED lighting, new carpet tiles and showers.
JLL’s Zak Seccull and Alexandra Harper promoted the property.
CA escape
NCS Chartered Accountants has relocated from the Melbourne CBD to a newly leased 180-square-metre, two-storey office at the Glassworks development at 23-25 Gipps Street, Collingwood.
They agreed on a net annual rent of $386 a square metre with a private landlord, through Knight Frank’s Alex Bolton.
Creative bricks
Fashion distribution agency We are the Stables has agreed to terms on a 110-square-metre retail space at 393 Crown Street, in Sydney’s Surry Hills, with a local private investor on a five-year lease at a gross annual rent of $1136 a square metre.
The online retailer rented the property, near The Clock Hotel, to establish a bricks-and-mortar retail presence for its customers.
Colliers International’s Joshua Bush closed the deal.
Miranda move
Displaywise Design & Production has leased a 3000-square-metre warehouse and a 400-square-metre office from Kingsley Projects at 140-142 Parraweena Road, Miranda, in Sydney’s south, paying a gross annual rent of $280,000 on a three-year lease.
The corner property has parking for 30 cars.
Colliers International’s Trent Gallagher said the bigger lease was needed to accommodate Displaywise’s expansion.
London in Perth
Software specialist Planit Solutions has signed a new lease for an office at Perth’s London House with property group Hawaiian.
Planit signed a five-year contract for a 213-square-metre office at 216 St Georges Terrace to accommodate its new Perth headquarters, which will relocate from West Perth.
CBRE’s Lachlan Lewis negotiated the lease of the fully refurbished and furnished space at a net annual rent of about $515 a square metre.
Relocation
Oneview Healthcare has committed to a three-year lease at a 207-square-metre office at 176 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne.
The company relocated from nearby 2 Wellington Parade.
Knight Frank’s James Treloar negotiated a net annual rent of $320 a square metre for landlord, Vantage Property Investments.
Pencils anyone?
A stationery business secured a new three-year lease with options for a 145-square-metre retail/office property at 638 Burke Road in Camberwell, Melbourne.
The net annual rent for the ground floor retail and first-floor office is $120,000 and comes with parking.
Teska Carson’s Tom Maule and Fergus Evans marketed the property for a Melbourne-based private investor.
Fit out
Vision Personal Training will bring fitness to Camberwell, in Melbourne, after signing a five-year lease with options for a whole floor at level one, 527 Riversdale Road.
Gross Waddell’s Andrew Thorburn negotiated a net annual rent of $75,000 for the 277-square-metre space for a private landlord.
