Now you can book a sleepover at NUBO play centre in Alexandria through Airbnb

If you ever dreamed about having a sleepover at a play centre when you were a child, or wished you could see your own kids enjoy such an activity, you will be able to soon thanks to a partnership between Airbnb and an educational play centre NUBO, in Sydney.

Usually only open to the public during business hours, NUBO’s Alexandria centre will be offering two families the chance to book an overnight sleepover on January 10 or 11, 2019, for up to six guests (two adults and up to four children) at ‘the ultimate kids’ castle’.

The one-night stay will include free time in the learning centre, where the little ones will enjoy the entire centre to themselves before getting creative with a pre-dinner art workshop. This will then be followed up with a bedtime story that will come to life with music and puppets.

“Staying a night in a play centre is like being a kid in a toy store – what child wouldn’t love that?” said Sam McDonagh, Airbnb Australia and New Zealand country manager.

“I think back to when my own children were younger and them being upset when it was time to leave a playground or some place where they were having loads of fun. Now thanks to this Airbnb partnership with NUBO, the kids can play and then stay — how good is that!”

Once the youngsters have retired to bed, it will then be the adults turn to play, or rather relax, with a couples massage. In the morning the whole gang will take part in a yoga session and enjoy a nutritious breakfast before some last-minute playtime in the centre before it opens for the day.

“We’re excited to work with Airbnb on this Australian-first opportunity for the young and the young at heart,” said Mollie Li, Founder of NUBO. “We all have those one or two favourite places we may have visited as a child and had so much fun that we cried when it was time to leave; we are hoping to fulfil their [parents’] dream too!”

The NUBO listing will be available to book on Airbnb from 12pm on Monday, December 10, on a first-come, first-served basis, so best to set an alarm and get in quick. The fee is $100 for the night, with all the proceeds going to NUBO’s chosen charity, Sunrise Cambodia.
