Perth's Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate a hit with buyers

West Australian developer Linc Property has sold $25 million of industrial property at its new $120 million Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate in Perth before its official sales launch.

Linc has sold 28 lots ranging from 1110 to 20,000 square metres at the 36-hectare park close to the Perth CBD.

Raine & Horne’s Anthony Vulinovich handled the off-market sales.

“Prior to release on the open market this week, we undertook a short off-market sales campaign with selected buyers. There was a very high level of uptake from those approached,” he said.

“The Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate represents a one-off opportunity for corporates, owner-occupiers, developers and investors to secure affordable industrial land within a landscaped business park just eight kilometres from the Perth CBD.”

“Lots within the estate have been priced below historic land prices in Osborne Park, Balcatta and Belmont, which are the only industrial locations comparable in terms of proximity to the CBD.”

Linc director Ben Lisle said the redevelopment had been 10 years in the making.

Tonkin is also 800 metres from a train station and three kilometres from Perth Airport.

The estate will feature landscaped areas, entry statements, parking and flexible general industrial zoning.
