Ritchies anchors redeveloped prison site, Her Majesty's Prison Pentridge
Ritchies Supermarket has taken up a major 2200 square metre lease at the redeveloped historic 1851 prison site, Her Majesty’s Prison Pentridge in Coburg, Melbourne.
Ritchies struck a deal with developer Shayher Group to take up the anchor supermarket lease for 14 years, trading as Ritchies Fine Foods & Wine Merchants
The soon-to-be-completed 11,000 square metre Her Majesty’s Prison Pentridge has been repurposed into a mixed-use precinct with 1500 units across 12 buildings. Shayher bought the 6.5-hectare site in 2013 following the completion of its masterplan in 2009. The property is due to open late next year.
Colliers International’s Mike Crittenden and Stephanie Siadis brokered the lease.
Game on
Not Doppler, a Sydney-based web and mobile games publisher, will occupy a 196 square metre office space at 250 Pitt Street, in the Sydney CBD, after signing a three-year lease.
Ray White’s Andrew Telepis and Anthony Harris locked in a gross annual rent of $875 a square metre.
By the book
Overseas Education & Career Consultants has leased an office the “Dymocks building” at 428 George Street, Sydney CBD, from Dymocks Book Arcade at a gross annual rent of $56,700.

Forty-one-fold
Investment management group Allan Gray will relocate to level 11 of 41 Exhibition Street, in the Melbourne CBD, after agreeing to take the 283 square metre space in the “41X” building.
Colliers International’s Zak Seccull and Ben Christie negotiated the seven-year lease, getting agreement at a gross annual rent of about $640 a square metre.
Non-perishables
In2food, a food and fresh produce supply business, has signed up for a 1600 square metre warehouse at 159 Epsom Road, Flemington, in Melbourne’s north, at a gross annual rent of $150,000 for five years with options. The company will use it for food processing and logistics operations.

Coombes deals
Residential land developer Johnson Property Group will relocate to 46 Market Street in the Sydney CBD after agreeing to a one-year sub-lease of a 133 square metres of office space.
Ray White’s Marcus Plummer and Anthony Harris negotiated a gross annual rent of $650 a square metre for Coombes.
Lease mobility
Family-owned travel business Collette Travel will move to suite 901 at 46 Market Street in Sydney’s CBD, after agreeing to lease the 241sq m office for three years.
Ray White’s Anthony Harris and Naomi Vilar represented landlord Telado, securing a gross annual rent of $875 a square metre.
New terms
Language business MoTai Mandarin will set up shop at suite 605, 109 Pitt Street, in Sydney’s CBD for three years. Gross annual market rents in the building are between $700 to $900 a square metre.
