When it comes to wine, we all know good things come in sixes. Here are half a dozen vineyards for sale in Australia right now.

Watervale, South Australia

The Del Rios vineyard is one of Australia’s biggest. The 1047-hectare property is in the Murray Darling wine region – the chardonnay capital of Australia. Del Rios’ 895-hectare vineyard primarily produces the chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, merlot and shiraz grape varieties.

Legana, Tasmania

Velo Wines is a restaurant and boutique winery with cellar door, 15 minutes from Launceston. The 4.1-hectare property is on the Tamar Valley wine route and the 2.46-hectare vineyard is under cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, riesling, pinot gris, sauvignon blanc and shiraz vines, some dating back to 1970.

The New Residence Vineyard is a 252-hectare property in SA’s Riverland wine region. About one-third of the 233-hectare vineyard is planted to red varietals; the rest to whites.

This 138.5-hectare property is on four titles with about 107 hectares planted with established red wine grapes, plus potential for more plantings. There are existing grape supply agreements with major producers and a substantial water entitlement from the Murray River.

The Orani Vineyard and Fruit Farm overlooks Pittwater near the historical township of Sorell. The three-hectare vineyard is planted with pinot noir and riesling and there are also fruit orchards, a homestead, farm-stay accommodation and an oyster farming operation.
