Tenants take a shine to new commercial developments in Perth

A medical facility, a pharmacy, as well as fitness and childcare centres, are among the businesses set to call the new Hillarys Plaza home.

The two-level complex, to be built opposite Westfield Whitford City, is currently at the tender stage, with construction expected to be complete in October 2019.

Agem Property Group managing director Adrian Fiore said the elevated exposure from passing traffic, the complex’s proximity to Whitfords Shopping Centre and the local population catchment made Hillarys Plaza attractive to tenants.

“There is a lack of competing high-quality office and convenience complex opportunities in the surrounding area,” he said.

“Childcare, medical, a pharmacy and gym tenants will support ancillary businesses which will fill the remainder of the complex.”

Designed by DMG Architects, 10 tenancies are on offer at Hillarys Plaza and range in size from 162 to 1304 square metres.

Agem Property Group is also behind the development of Balcatta HQ – one of the largest business developments in Balcatta.

Mr Fiore said Balcatta HQ would provide tenants with state-of-the-art technology, container bays, gazebos for staff and dual street frontages.

Balcatta HQ is the first development in the Balcatta Precinct with a National Broadband Network connection,” he said.

Stage 1 was completed late last year, with stages 2 and 3 set to begin in mid-2018.

Balcatta HQ is set to feature food production units, land lots and office/warehouse spaces at varying sizes.

A limited number of units in stage 1 remain for sale and lease.

Balcatta HQ is the only brand new development in Balcatta in almost 10 years and has been popular amongst owner-occupiers, investors and long-term tenants, Mr Fiore said.

The site is located 12 kilometres from Perth CBD and is close to the Mitchell Freeway.

Balcatta HQ is located at 10 Geddes Street, the former site of the Browne’s Dairy overflow car park.
