Win for JLL-backed indigenous property management business

An Australian indigenous property management company has won a three-year government contract with Indigenous Business Australia.

Evolve FM, a joint venture between JLL and Pacific Services Group Holdings, will manage more than 15 IBA facilities in Australia, providing services such as strategic portfolio management, transaction management, lease administration, end-to-end procurement services, contract management and project and maintenance management.

Evolve FM chief executive John Owens said the move was a significant milestone in the companies’ history and for indigenous businesses in Australia.

“Evolve FM is the only indigenous majority-owned full service facilities management company in Australia, and we think we can make a real difference by maximising the engagement of other indigenous businesses in our supply chain. It can have a genuine multiplier effect,” Mr Owens said.

Pacific Services Group Holdings brings energy and dynamism to the partnership, said Steve Mackintosh, JLL’s head of government business.

“JLL is proud to be associated with a company like PSGH in the ownership of Evolve FM,” Mr Mackintosh said.

The JLL partnership has helped expedite the establishment phase of both Pacific Services Group Holdings and Evolve FM, according to Pacific Services co-owner Troy Rugless.

“Having a partner like JLL has allowed PSGH and Evolve FM to be 10-15 years ahead of where we would have been,” Mr Rugless said.

“It’s not easy to start up a full service property management company, but JLL’s market-leading expertise and resources have provided a significant boost to us.”
