Ceeneys Road runs along the Western boundary of the property and the boundary to the North and Northeast of the property adjoins the Gingie Munjie State Forest, ideal for exploring or other recreational pursuits. There is a small clearing at the highest point of the property in the Southeast corner and information from the vendor has mentioned that there is an old horizontal mine shaft located on the property. The neighbouring property to the East had a gold mine on it known as the "Rose of Australia" and reference to this was in the book "Time to remember" by K.McD. Fairweather. Locating the property may be somewhat challenging for the first time, but once you work it out the lay of the land is evident.

Drive, or ride a bike into the township of Swifts Creek, you will find that it is very accommodating, with a local IGA open every day, a bakery, café, local hotel, Primary and High School, with swimming pool in the summer, a post office and service station; importantly a bush nurse centre; Community centre, art gallery, a local timber mill and DELWP office, just to name a few benefits of the small town.

Swifts Creek is approximately one hour from Bairnsdale, and approximately 45 minutes to one hour to the snow fields of Dinner Plain and Mt Hotham along the Great Alpine Road. The area is fantastic for a multitude of recreational pursuits, be it four-wheel driving, motor bike, mountain bike or horseback riding, fishing, hunting, bush walking, or whatever takes your fancy. There is also a local nine-hole golf club further out in the valley, a bowls club and football club, and clay target shooting club to get involved with.
