WESTERN AUSTRALIA'S FINEST OCEAN FRONT TAVERN/ BEER GARDEN
Welcome to The iconic ENDEVOUR TAVERN Located in the heart of the idyllic quintessential Coastal town of Lancelin only an hour from the Perth metro.
Firstly, allow me to offer you some history of how it all begun to help you see the value and integrity of this Property and business.
The first building built in Lancelin (early 1950) was a shed used by fishermen. This was on the site where the Tavern now stands. The shed went on to be used as the general store. Later the site also housed Lancelin's first Bakery. Lancelin continued to grow and in 1954 it was gazetted and became an official Town site.
By the late 1960's the Baker family had acquired the Tavern site and built the first section of the Endeavour Tavern in the mid 1970's, the timber used in the first part of the building was from the Kellerberrin flourmill when it was demolished. In the early 1980's the second section of the tavern was built, this time the timber beams used were salvaged from the Mogumber Railway Bridge that was being upgraded to a concrete bridge.
The building feature's massive Jarrah timber beams and posts that were used in the construction (are well over 100 years old) a real feature about this timber is it has been scalloped out by hand held adze (an extremely old form of wood working art from centuries ago), this feature alone makes the Endeavour Tavern quite unique.
Although there are many ocean front properties around Australia, very few if any could match (or even come close) to the inspiring and splendorous views from the Endeavour Tavern. There are many cray fishing boats mooring in Lancelin Bay because of the protection provided by the reef system a couple of hundred metres offshore. This reef also protects the shoreline in front of the Tavern Site; it also provides great surfing and windsurfing opportunities.
The Lancelin Ocean Classic windsurfing race (Ledge Point to Lancelin) which became a top international windsurfing event and where Lancelin became world renown as one of the best windsurfing sites in the world was started by the Endeavour Tavern (mid 1980's) and was known as the "Endeavour Classic" the event still finishes on the beach in front of the Tavern.
Party time at the Endeavour Tavern is almost legendary. Nowadays with the Perth's Northern Suburbs getting ever closer to Lancelin, many people who reside in the far northern suburbs find it a quicker and a more leisurely journey to have a day or evening out in Lancelin, than drive to the likes of Fremantle for a day out. The Tavern activities features daytime dinning and parties for families and friends and nightly entertainment including gaming, pool tables. TAB, live music, karaoke, dancing, The Tavern is well known for its tourists that bring in larger crowds every year.
The great Indian Ocean Drive that has been constructed to connect Perth and the north, makes Lancelin's future unlimited.
This popular Tavern business has a solid track record for decades and is known throughout Western Australia. The building features a kitchen, large bar indoor and outdoor, stage and plenty of seating inside and outside for customers. Strategically located in the heart of its town where all the action takes place. This location has been and will continue to be an anchor establishment and location in this quintessential Lancelin Coastal town.
The present owners have owned this property with its absolute beach frontage and it's truly unique building for over 35 years, after buying it from the Baker family. Now it's time for them to pass it on to anyone who has the capacity to take the place to greater heights
