    The soil profile comprises of a heavy black and chocolate brown self-mulching basalt soil suitable for both summer and winter cropping. There are three irrigation bores, 16 megalitre holding sump and pivot pump. Irrigation water is supplied via Upper Namoi Zone 2 aquifer licence WAL 12529, totalling 246 units.
