If the expansive views of the water aren't quite enough to win you over, the gold medal winning wine produced at Norfolk Bay Vineyard should be.
This north-facing 4.4 hectare property touches the coastal reserve above Cascades Bay and looks out to the spectacular waters of Norfolk Bay and beyond.
The vineyard was planted in 1996. The average annual production from the 1.1 hectares (2,850 vines) over the last 5 years has been 11 tonnes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the majority of which is purchased by Tas Vintners. The balance is made into either Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sparking, or Rosé and kept in controlled air storage on the property and sold by the Owners. The vineyard is irrigated by run-off water captured on the property and there is another hectare of suitable land to expand.
The successful purchaser will have the option to purchase the trademarked Norfolk Bay Vineyard label along with existing stock.
The circa 2011, 4 bedroom house is full of sunlight and modern convenience. Soft-close joinery in the kitchen, 9.9kW solar system, gas fire, reverse cycle heat pump. The house faces north to take in both the incredible views of the water and also the sun. A huge 16m x 8m covered deck at the front virtually doubles the size of the living and entertaining area.
Everything used to maintain and run the vineyard is kept in a 20m x 7.5m x 5m modern shed. 3 bays with FCR floor for the tractor, sprayer, mower etc. The 4th bay is a forklift bay with concrete floor and staff toilet and the 5th bay is the controlled air storage for bottled wine.
This is a simply remarkable property in a stunning location, the likes of which do not come along too often.
