Solid 2 storey brick 1940's hotel
Fully renovated and ready for its new owners
The Tarcutta Hotel is a classic art deco two storey brick hotel. The presentation of this stylishly refurbished hotel is a credit to current owners.
It's all here and waiting for you. Well supported by the locals and popular with weary travellers.
Offering a convenient single bar operation, supported by a brand new glycol beer system and cool room. The renovated commercial kitchen services the many areas for dining, including a coffee shop and large undercover beer garden. There is a dedicated children's area inside the hotel and plenty of space outside.
Upstairs there are 7 hotel rooms in various configurations to accommodate the many travellers looking for a break from the busy Hume Highway. There is a local free caravan parking site directly behind the hotel.
Tarcutta is a friendly village of approx. 500 residents situated halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. It is less than 50km from the major inland centre of Wagga.
Having been bypassed by the Highway upgrade, the village is now a refreshing stop offering local crafts, memorials, and great food options.
The main attraction is the genuinely interesting, and very sad, Truck Drivers Memorial. A more upbeat tribute to the truckies' legacy in Tarcutta are the 'Arm Horn' sculptures. Over the years, local children would stand at the side of the road in Tarcutta and, by frantically lifting their arm up and down, encourage passing truckies to give them a friendly honk of the horn.
The 'air horn arm pull' is now immortalised by the steel statues created by Australian blacksmith, William Maguire.
The Tarcutta Hotel offers great value with solid trading figures, so contact us today to explore this terrific opportunity.
