This beautiful historical suite of buildings in the heart of Geraldton, was formerly the Victoria District Hospital and later the Geraldton prison. The complex was constructed in stages beginning in the mid-1850s. From 1887 to 1966 these buildings were part of the Victoria District Hospital, and then were used as a regional prison until 1984. After major restoration the complex was reopened in 1988.
