Brookdale was sold at auction on the 28th April 2022 for $3.25 Million.

Versatility - Flinders Highway Frontage - Water Allocation

Brookdale Station comprises of 1,813 hectares situated on the eastern banks of Betts Creek. It is located in North QLD approx. 2 km East of Pentland and 98km west of Charters Towers with direct access off the sealed Flinders Highway.

The property is well suited to any combination of breeding, backgrounding, or fattening and can either stand alone or benefit a larger operation. Additionally, its' close proximity to markets and all-weather access combine to make this an ideal depot for sale cattle. Monitoring cameras are set up at key points which allow remote management of the property.

Described as flat to gently undulating topography with a strong mix of improved and native pastures and stylo. There is approx. 168ha of previously cleared river frontage with strong alluvial soils adjacent to Betts Creek and runs back into predominantly timbered Ironbark ridges with strong box flats.

Fenced into 9 paddocks the property lends itself to rotational grazing. Except for 2 smaller holding paddocks adjacent to the yards all other paddocks have access to a mustering square in the laneway system which leads directly to the yards.

The main water supply is pumped from a main storage at the house complex to 2 strategic tanks from which the balance of the property is gravity fed water.

Structural improvements include the main homestead - 4 bedroom with office - which is currently part way through a renovation, a machinery shed, storage container and hay shed. The main cattle yards are of fixed and steel panel construction and estimated to have a 400 head capacity with town water and power connected. It is serviced by a 5-way pound draft, race with vet crush and covered branding facilities.

Brookdale has experienced a very good wet season to date and recent rains have further strengthened pastures. The vendors long term estimate of carrying capacity is between 250 & 300 AE's seasonal dependent.
