Harcourts The Property People

Harcourts The Property People was first known as Robert R AndrewReal Estate Campbelltown. This office was purchased in 1996 with just areceptionist and a sales person, and in three short years grew to become one ofthe best in the Macarthur! Garth and Laura Makowski are the current owners ofHarcourts The Property People, and were critical team members throughout itsinitial growth.

In 2001, Garth and Laura becomebusiness partners in the Campbelltown branch. Garth became manager of the Salesand Training portfolios, and Laura the manager of Property Management andAdministration. This partnership further increased sales and managedproperties.

In May 2004, Robert R Andrew RealEstate Campbelltown joined the already established Dougmal RealEstate Group, comprising of 13 offices throughout the Illawarra region. Garth,Laura and their business partner, Chris Stephandellis alsopurchased the Dougmal Franchise Group, and opened more offices in the Macarthur region andinto Sydney. 

In 2008, a partnership wasnegotiated with Harcourts International. This joint partnership gave the Dougmalgroup access to better technology and resources, with the aim of being morecompetitive in the market place.

Thenin 2010, Garth and Laura purchased the remaining share of Harcourts TheProperty People from their business partner, to gain sole ownership of theCampbelltown office.

InJanuary 2018, Garth and Laura went into partnership with their former SalesConsultant, Steve Arentz, to open the new office in Mount Annan, Harcourts Lifestyles.

HarcourtsThe Property People is currently the leading agency in the Macarthur region,with over 16 Sales and 18 Property Management professionals, serving the real estate needs of thelocal Macarthur community.
