Highlights of Hale Real Estate Pty Ltd
1940’s Ivan Hale began Hale Real Estate concentrating on selling and building properties around Unley and Hyde Park areas south of Adelaide.
1979 Max Christie, Rural State Manager from Stock Firm Bennett Farmers (now Landmark) bought Hale Real Estate and immediately began selling Rural Properties in SA. Hale opens office in Port Lincoln.
1994 Max’s son, Nigel Christie joined business and began selling Rural and Rural Lifestyle properties, with an aim to involve an Adelaide Market in Rural Property.
1997 Hale took on revolutionary new selling techniques “Buyer Ranged & Set Sale” created by Real Estate Visionary David Pilling with exceptional success. Later joined an exclusive group of agencies across Australia licensed to use the systems created by Pilling. Hale, Max and Nigel were continuously in the “Best Agency” “Best Sales person” categories in the group.
2000 Nigel Christie hired and flown to New Zealand by the Wrightsons company (the equivalent of Elders and Landmark in Aus.) Delivered 5 seminars in 5 days and taught over 120 sales people how to sell within 30 Days using the Buyer Range and Set Sale Systems.
Hale moves from old premises on Unley Road into SA Tourism Building on Level 3, 18-20 King William Street in the city.
2004-2009 Nigel Christie hired by David Pilling on Many occasions as Guest speaker at Real Estate conferences to discuss topics such as “How I achieved $1.1M when the owner only wanted $450k”, “Adopting a Penalty to Bonus Selling fee”, “The importance of a tailored marketing campaign”, “How to sell in 30 Days in a tough Market”, “Doorknocking For BUYERS!”, “Paying for your Commission using 3 Phase Negotiation”
2008-2009 Real Estate Institute SA appointed Nigel Christie as Rural Division Chairman, involved in drafting and implementing various systems to assist Rural Real Estate practitioners across SA. Rural Division Committee Member (Fleurieu and Hills) of Real Estate Institute SA
2009 Hale saw the unfortunate passing of Max Christie due to prostate cancer.
Nigel Christie took over the reigns as Director continuing the tradition of 30 Day Sales & Vendor Timed Sales techniques with Margaret Christie (Max's wife) as Finance Director.
2010 Hale hired Lien Giang to coordinate the daily office activities and bring a fresh perspective to the business.
Margaret Christie now semi-retired, Lien filling in with Finance and Accounts in Margaret's absence.
2010-2011 Social media marketing introduced with Hale Real Estate on Facebook and YouTube. Hale's Smart Phone App for iphone & Android launched. Now continually adopting new electronic media and other alternative forms of property marketing.
RuralrealestateSA. com. au goes live
2012 Toughest listing – selling the Snowtown Bank using eBay as the medium to obtain as much exposure as possible for the property. Unfortunately the eBay rules made it fairly difficult to bid over half of the reserve price. However, it did show that online auction for property works.
French Intern Florian Bernard joins Hale Real Estate from Arthemonay, France for 3 months to help establish vital links between Hale Real Estate and Rural Companies within the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy and Greece.
European Relations Trip & International Real Estate Expo - From the 5th of May 2012, Nigel Christie will travel to the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Italy sourcing networking opportunities with other Rural Real Estate companies within these regions.
