Austar welcomes your interest in this rural grazing opportunity. Expressions of Interest are invited for a rural grazing license area of approx. 78 Ha (192 acres), situated approx. 15 km south of Cessnock. We are looking for best practice agricultural managers to create sustainable rural holdings, improve asset value with a high focus on rural safety.
Each submission is to include a comprehensive farm management plan. The farm management plan documents what you propose to do on a year by year basis during the term of the agreement. Specific elements of the farm management plan should include, but are not limited to work health & safety, weeds, pasture, biosecurity, infrastructure and livestock husbandry.
You are encouraged to be resourceful in your approach to preparing a submission, as Austar seek genuine licensees who can demonstrate best practice agricultural management and prepare a plan as if they 'owned the property'.
It is envisaged that successful proponents will identify a level of investment in the property consistent with maintaining or improving the asset value over the term of the license. There can be flexibility with the license agreement to provide appropriate incentives to encourage investment from the licensee.
It is anticipated that the agreement will commence from February 2021and will be a 2 year period, with annual inspections completed throughout the term.
