    Traditional Australian pub The Royal Hotel Cooma has a long history that dates back to 1858. The hotel is a component of the famed Lambie Street walkway and is situated at the intersection of Sharp and Lambie Streets.

    Built in 1858, the Royal Hotel is a sizable two-story building with outbuildings that are all made of dressed freestone. It has an early hipped roof and four sizable ornamental gables, and is of plain Georgian design. On the street corner, it has a balcony and verandah decorated with late Victorian cast iron. The original rolled-iron roof and twelve-paned windows in the Georgian style are still present on the two-story wing that faces Lambie Street.

    It is well known that this hotel, which is located in the oldest section of Cooma, continues the legacy of various historically and aesthetically significant buildings.
