"Warratoo's" topography is considered "generally flat" with small areas of slight elevation. Soil type is a consistent grey loam style soil suitable for either winter & summer cearial & forage cropping or pasture production. Original timbers consisted of Belah, Coolibah, Myall, Wilga and Box in the grey loam area with a small area of elevated sandy loam soil with Cypress & Sandalwood. The property benefits from slow and low level flooding at times of major rain events when the nearby Billa Billa creek spreads out. "Warratoo" has undergone a major infrastructure development and pasture improvement programme in the past 10 years. Approximately 1,400 acres of improved pastures have been planted consisting of Creeping Blue, Premier Digit, Reclaimer Rhodes & Bambatsi, that compliment the existing native grasses and herbages in season. The areas of elevated sandy soils carry a good body of Buffel & Green Panic. The introduced pastures are slashed on a seasonal and rotational basis with fertilizer added when needed.

Cultivation:

Water:
"Warratoo" is very well watered via a combination of a private owned piped artesian bore backed up by secure stock dams that are surplus to requirements. The bore is piped throughout the entire property in a circular design, giving secure water to all paddocks via 5000gal cup & saucer tanks & concrete troughs. There are numerous dams, all desilted & enlarged in 2019. The homestead is serviced by rainwater, dam water for the garden and bore water if required.
Fencing:
The property is sub-divided into 12 main paddocks all serviced by a central laneway system to the cattle yards supported by holding paddocks & coolers around the yards. Majority of internal fences replaced since 2014 and consist of 4 strand barb, some with electric, new steel post, steel end assembles and steel gate ways. Bull paddocks have clipex netting with electric around them.
