If you are looking for the elusive hotel in a "one pub town", this is it, and a lot more!
The Batlow Hotel offers a 2 storey circa 1920s building on a large (3000m2) easily accessible corner block. Downstairs features an island main bar area with separate TAB room, dining room, bistro, commercial kitchen, beer garden, and opens onto an alfresco area, and large yard with sound stage and separate bar. The bar area in particular, has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, and a slow combustion heater adds to the atmosphere. Upstairs offers a 4 bedroom proprietors residence with separate kitchen and amenities. In addition, there are 9 recently refurbished guest rooms with shared separate male and female amenities, and a kitchenette.

Batlow at 780m elevation is best known for its always spectacular alpine scenery (snowfalls in Winter) and cool climate fruit a product of reliable rainfall and fertile soils. The town is located about an hour's drive from Wagga Wagga (73,000) and 2 ½ hours drive from Canberra. The annual "Ciderfest" is a particularly successful attraction in its own right. We strongly recommend an inspection.
